around the corner from the LFS
had problem with my ammonia way up and ph way down nitrates/nitrites all out of wack. Got things almost fully level only lost one fish my adult albino bristlenose pleco. But I still have a slight film on the top of my water what is this, why is this, what is the cause of this?

It sounds like you are over feeding. All fish food has some sort of fat, of course some more than others....which can cause an oil slick looking thing on the surface of your water. I think you can actually use a paper towl to skim the surface. It will work best if you turn off your pumps/filters first so the surface of the water is still.
