Filtaration for a pirahna

What type of filtiration do you use for your pirahnas. Pics please cause i think plumbing is the most difficult part of fish keeping.

how big is your tank? i have a 38 gallon with one rbp, equipped with a rena xp1 and its ok. i might add a HOB just to clean some of the surface sludge.

Approximately 5ft diameter and 1.5feet high circular pool. About 100 gallons (made of hard material not balloonish type) Can you post some pics of it.

I always use at least double the filtration for messy fish. If you have a 55 gal with one pirhana, I recommend 2 AC70 filters.

I realize that you plan on putting piranha in this pool. I think though you could get a better response for filtering your pool in the "indoor pond" forum. What you have is different from a regular tank, more like an indoor pond.

For Piranha you will want over filtration, when I had 3 6-7" RBPs in a 65 gallon tank, I had to go with a peguin 350 and a wet/dry sump to properly filter tha tank.

My last p tank was a 180...On it I had:

BIOLOGICAL
2-RENA Xp3 FilStar canister filter...
Homemade wet dry filter

MECHANICAL/CIRCULATION
2-Aqua Clear 101
AC powerhead 901

If I still had the tank, I would of added another wet dry filter to it and another RENA Xp3, and a third Aqua CLear 101....
