Can anyone please answer these questions..

Will 2 Emperor 400 filter be good enough for 150 Gallon freashwater aquarium ?

How many heaters is required for 150 Gallon freashwater aquarium ?

As for filtration I think it really depends on what you plan to house in your 150 gallon?

As for heaters, I would probably use dual 250W stealth heaters but I think you might be able to get away with one. Just nice to have two just in case one of them malfunctions.

Bringing back an old thread I'm in this situation right now, trying to set up a 150 gallon and don't want to drill it. I love emperor 400 filters but I have a silver Arowana I plan on keeping until it grows out as well as a Giraffe nose catfish and a RTC/SNC hybrid I want to grow out. Are HOB filters an option for this even if I did 4 with some bubbles to help move the water. What are your thoughts?

with the stock you have. id go with a sump or big canister filters.

:iagree:

I have 4 AC110's on my 150 right now, but my peacock bass are small. Planning on building a sump for my 240 and moving one of the FX5's onto my 150.

as for heaters get 2x 250+ watt heaters.

Thanks guys, I guess I need to go with a canister or 2. I like to over filter the tanks so I'll probably go with 2 canisters. Maybe fx5's or Eheim's
