would love to have your opinions on the following plan. tank will house high PH 7 and above for tropical river species. Tap water is around 7.5 Fish are fine with 6.8 or so. all meat eaters.
for the following, Im more or less following the same ratios as a 500 gallon tank.
total water volume in tank is around 4100 gallons. filter volume is about 35-40% of tank volume.
was thinking of using (as % of volume space) 40% ceramic rings, 20% large coral bones, 20% small coral bones, 20% mechanical fine/coarse jap mat
seperate drip troughs filled with plastic biomass , roughly 50 gallons worth
water fall resovoirs roughly 75-80 gallons filled with some other biomass
