I've seen a lot of charts and read a lot of articles comparing biological filter
media in canisters and w/d's. However, I don't recall any of them mentioning
old school filter floss. Does anyone know how it compares to the newer media
being used in canisters? I'm asking because some of the newer media needs
to be replaced over time and it isn't cheap to do so when you have big tanks
and filters. Filter floss also needs to be replaced over time but is very cheap.
I know about pot scrubbers but I've read they're better suited for w/d's.
