Filter for freshwater>salterwater>freshwater

Can I use a filter (AC 110) pulled from my freshwater tank to filter saltwater fish in a Rubbermaid until I get my 300 gallon up and running? Can I put the filter back into the freshwater set up when I'm done? Will I have to flush the ceramic rings?

Nope--totally different bacteria.

after rinsing it out you can use it, but it won't have any of the bio filter
