I am building a wood ply tank. its going to be 180x75x75 cm. Thats 222 gallons. I havrnt really thought about the filter setup yet. Does anybody have any good ideas for a filter for this tank?
A cheap diy sump is fine, I just need to know approximate dimensions for a filter for a 220 gal tank...
any help would be greatly appreciated

anybody?

yeha dude id put a good sump on there. i duno about size id try and get like about a 50g sump. perosnly id get a big rubbermaid and then u cna make a good sized one. get a good sized chamber and fil it with those nylon pot scrubbers. thats what id do.

ok yea I already know how im goin to make it... so 50g will do the trick you thing?

im gonna make it double chambered. one chamber with poly ontop and a buttload of potscrubbers and then another chmber with bioballs

and then pumped back up into a bioflow system...

Sounds like your on the right track.
Post some pics when you get it mocked up.

As ideal as can be...1/3 of the tank size for a W/D...

We'll need to know the tanks bio-load to tell the turn-over rate/pump size.

Unless you already have the bio-balls, save the money...buy more scrubbies and something to celebrate the new tank with.

Do the search thing on this forum for some great info.

Ok, I'll bite...What's a bioflow system?
