Filter Idea

I just purchased a 100 gallon aquarium, and have an unused pool filter for an above ground pool. It's the type with a big sphere that holds sand, kind've like a fluidised bed filter. Has anyone used this before, do you think it would be overkill on a tank of this size. Just looking for some feedback. Thanks.

I don't know why you couldn't, as long as it's clean and dechlorinated. Would probably make a great filter.

plenty of people use them they work good once there seeded with bacteria

If its more than 1500gph might be too much flow for most fish

Been thinking of using one on my big tank, 2 xp3's can't quite keep up.
