ok so this is my idea space is an isue so wet/dry



it will be made of 4" pipe and filled with a bio media of some sort

How big of a tank? Flow rate of pump? Looks like a good idea. Post pics on development.

You need a prefilter pad, medium filter pad and put an air stone in the return to tank if its a gravity return. ( if using a pump to return water put air stone after pump so it won't cavitate ).
