Filter Intake Tube Extention

Hi,


Do they sell or does anyone know a way to DIY this? I sketched this up with an AC 110 in mind because I dont like where my intake tube is in my tank. Its on the left side and its pretty close to the wall, not giving it much receiving area. I also have an AC 110 on the right side as well, and that one isnt so bad.

I know Eheim sells T-connectors (e.g. bigalsonline), Just measure the diameter

Thanks, I see them. I measured my intake tube and the diameter is jsut over and inch. So would I need an inch or 1 1/4 inch? This is an AC 110 tube I am talking about.

just take the extra tube and go to home depot or lowes and get a t

Very easy to do, the top part of the AC70/110 intake tube fits over the outside of a 1/2" fitting, and the intake end fits inside a 3/4" fitting. Um, memory rings a bell about rio pump fittings but I don't think I have any lying around and they are weird fitting sizes.

Question: Does adding another intake slow down your GPH?

No discernable difference in flow. Cleans surface of water very well, but makes too much noise if water lvl drops more than 1 cm.
