filter question

hi guys i'm going to get a 38 gallon aquarium kit from petco but it comes witha filter thats says UP to 30 gallons. do i need to buy another filter or is this one fine heres the link to the filter im talking about:

depends what you want to keep in the tank.. for normal stocking levels that will be ok.

always go up on the filter then what its rated for....Over-kill on filtration always good

like 8 tiger barbs 3 bala sharks and like 2 dwarf gouramis would that be ok

Not the balas. They get 12 inches or more, but I think they grow slow, so they would work for a little while. If you don't have anywhere to put them when they do get too big, get something else.
