filter set up

my tank has 2 holes drilled through the bottom of the tank and i was thinking if i could run a filter this way i kno the outtake i can get to work but idk how to set up an intake for it the filter im going to use is an fx5 im gona hook up the out take to a spray bar i am going to use inturnal threaded bulkheads so i can atach the fittings any ideas on a intake would be great thanks

You could maybe cap off the bottom for the intake and run it down the side and just have the outtake ran through the bottom just a suggestion or use reducers to get it down to the size you want if you really want to run both the intake and outtake through the bottom
 
if i run the intake through the bottom how would i make the strainer should it lay close to the bottom or should i run it up then run it back down
 
click on this thread from here http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208917 There is more then one tank is then thread that has fx5's hard plumbed into there set ups the way you want to do it. Hell i just looked and ms mass poly has two set up that way on the first page of the thread. It shows the plumbing. But she is a great person and im sure will have no problem giving you any info you need if you ask her. go check it out thow like on said its on the first page
 
i figured out how im going to run the intake i just gota wate for my tax return and purches what i need and im looking to have the tank done by april/may
