I'm new to filter socks, brand new. Was just sold my first set and installed them and with an hour they can not handle the flow and overflow. Currently have 2-414 300 micron, that is 4" diameter, 14" long. I need a set of nylon socks 4" diameter that can handle 900gph. Any suggestions
Do you mean, they were plugged up in an hour? Or the sock is clean and can't handle the flow?
I have 14"X4" socks that handle 1200gph, but they need to be cleaned daily or every other day.
I assume you have nylon mesh socks. Mesh clogs up a lot faster than a felt sock of the same micron rating. I would switch them for 200 micron polypropylene socks - Petsolutions sells 4x14 Eshopps socks that should go a lot longer before clogging.

Wow, never thought of that. So much of my stuff is made from items bought at the craft store now, can't see why it wouldn't work. Will begin the search this weekend.
