Filter sock holder

I made a filter sock holder today for my sump. This is just a test piece before I make one for 2 filter socks. One for each drain. I am very happy with the way this one came out for only 25 minutes of work. i am going to lose the sponge under the sock when i make the double holder.

I'm not really familiar with using these things, but what happens when it clogs? You don't have a lot of places for the water to run off and it'll spill over the sides of the sump. Maybe seat it lower into the sump and if you have run off it won't get everywhere? Let me know how it comes out, I'm doing my own DIY setup right now.

The 3" above the water line will not clog and I am under my stand almost daily. If the water is spilling out of that top few inches I will catch it way before it will ever make it back out the top of the sock.
