Those that use filter socks as part of the filtration, how do you hang your socks? I'm thinking about adding socks to my system and am curious as to how others hang theirs. I'm looking at a premade unit that holds 2 socks that are 7" diameter. Any suggestions? Would you mind posting some pictures of how yours in set up?

Post a picture of your sump. It's different if it's a DIY sump or a bought sump. My sump already came with attachments for filter sock but I use a shelve that's built it with filter floss instead. It's easier for me it's just a drawer I can take out

here is my DIY filter sock holder... my situation is different from others since my baffle is almost to the top.. holder was cut to fit filter sock and the little pieces of aluminum angles are to hold the holder in place and give it a non warping acrylic made with 1/4" and the aluminum angles was scrap i have lying around..

Thanks for the pictures. What size (diameter) socks are you using?
Here is a picture of my sump, drain side. The sump is a standard 40 gal breeder tank, and the glass baffle goes most of the way up. The baffle is about 5.5" from the end of the tank.
I see some of the premade hangers have drain tubes that go down into the sock. Any advantage or disadvantage to this? I would think it would more of a pain to remove the socks with the tube sticking down into them.
I'll have to modify or come up with a new lid for this sump as well.

how much room do you have above your sump? you can use a plastic container to raise it up and if it overflows it still wont leak out. also one thing I did with my old socks was I had three in a row and just used a pipe to go through the handles and hold them up. the pipe sat on top of the tank itself. if your socks do not have handles you could always use large pvc and drill holes in it and attach wire.

There is about a foot or so. Depending on how far down the plumbing extends for the drain lines (see picture). The pipe idea may work. I haven't bought new socks yet, I do have some used ones I pick up locally from another hobbyist but they don't have handles.
