im in the process of making power vac outta a eheim pump thats rated for 900 gph some pvc tubing i was curious should i use low micro sock like 25 or 1 micron or just load the pvc with filter floss.

this isnt replacing my weekly water changes i just want to do this as a inbetween cleaning.

Did you mean Power Vac ?

I think you need to reword your question as it is extremely difficult to understand what you are asking. I would say filter socks are better at removing the particles than floss, but it needs to be cleaned more and is harder to apply to canisters. I would not suggest impeding any water in your system by putting things in the pipes, just keep up your current filter maintenence by riinsing off your current filter pads.

Nes,

I am thinking of the same idea using a Magnum 350 POS canister filter I have on my 75 right now. (when I replace it) I would use a sock rather than floss simply for the fact that it would be easier to clean IMO.

This is an interesting idea that I may build for the power vac

Just my 2 cents

Neither.
Get yourself a whole house water filter.
20 micron filter cartridges are cheap and available almost everywhere.
