Filter socks after bio balls???

So my setup now is overflow-pre filter sponge- bio balls- back to tank if i added filter socks after my bio balls would there be a problem? I'm looking to clean my water a lil better as my sponge gets all the big stuff out but anything smaller like sand size works its way thru can I get a fine mesh filter sock to polish the water

My water is clear it just looks like there's dust in the tank kinda like when the sun shines thru the window and you can see dusk floating

Yea, you can add a polishing filter.

Do you know it's particulate though? Could be micro bubbles. Do you have a bubble trap?

I would scrap the sponges and use 100 micron socks instead. Maybe even go with 50 if you don't mind changing more frequently.

No don't think it's bubbles what is a bubble trap?

The sponge is in my overflow box to catch all the junk and gunk idk how I would be able to put a sock in there.
