filter socks

Those of you that have filter socks, do you like them? I have been trying read up about them to see if I want to incorporate it into a future sump. It seems like there are a lot of pros and cons.

I like them but you have to figure out what micron filter sock works best for your set up

Too fine and it gets dirty too fast and runs over, too coarse and the particles go through.

I like them but i'm using 200 micron socks and they clog in 2-3 days. I would assume a smaller micron would even clog faster.
