Hi everyone. I am looking to add a new Rena XP3 with a UV sterilizer to my 120 gallon tank. The only problem is that I can't find space for the intake and out-take tubes. The back of my tank already feels clustered with an AC 110 (Which takes up a large majority of the left side), 2 heaters, and another XP3 intake tube and spraybar. I want to keep the artificial stuff to a minimum so they don't take away from the fish. Is there any way I can do this?

Using an in-line heater for each of your canisters would help.

Here's one of many on the market:

You might be able to ditch the AC110 once the second canister has established itself, which would further cut down on your equipment.

As far as the canister returns...you don't HAVE to use the spray bars that come with the filters...you can use U-tubes and other custom plumbing equipment similar to what some of the saltwater guys use in reef tanks in order to hide as much of the equipment as possible. Just be creative and know your flow rates.

I like those inline heaters, but i'd hate to throw out the $40 in stealth heaters I have :)

I would take out the AC 110 once the xp3 got established. I have 2 on my 125 and use the jets at the top of the tank and not the spraybar.

save the stealths for back up heaters ;)

It never hurts to have working spares laying around...you won't miss them until you actually need one...
