Started 10am this morning. Yanked out the old pool pump and plumbed everything from scratch. Pond is 3000 gal.
New pump is a wlim Wave I 1/4hp, 6228gph/4ft head, 3amps. Old pump was 8amps....should save tons on electricity.
wlim Waterfall filter is packed with japanese filter mats. The catch basin below is also fill with JFM.
I'm going to see if the old UV can be overhauled tonight. If not, I'll be installing a wlim 57watt HO.

This is not my pond.

Trap installed

Nice work ken not only will the filter mat help keeping the water crystal more area for batcteria even if it's just has plant's no fiiish....to dispose of organic matter ....

There is so much aeration from the fall that the mats below will be screaming for bacteria growth. Mercy.
Hey, I got one more waterfall filter....would look killer on your monster tank! What do you say?

Beauty.

External pump I'm assuming that is attached to the ball valve.

Where is the intake?

No, the one ball valve is for draining the filter and the other is for the UV which I have not installed yet. The suction is from the corner of the pond by the deck (not shown in photo). The pump is under the deck. Under the deck is also 6-55gal barrel filters which we abandoned because it was too difficult for the owner to maintain.

looking good
where can i find those waterfalls?

Thanks for posting! I always learn a thing or two from your post! :)
