I am gonna set up a new 56 column tank, and want to plant it with drift wood, and a few fish. cten's and other medium sized fish, i have a magnum filter sitting around not being used. would this be an appropriate filter to use?! or would an over the back bio wheel filter be better? thanks in advance!

If you plan to use co2 injection, then you want to avoid surface agitation. If you are not using co2, then surface agitation is a good thing.
