whats a good filter to buy for a 90gal thats gonna keep clean even for the messiest of fish. also does any have 1 they wanna sell :)

your best bet would be a DIY wet dry filter. Or a large canister like a eheim. But im leaning towards a wet dry.

ive herd that the fluval 404 is great so i might look in to that :headbang2

I use aquaclear 500 now called 100. I use 2 on my 90 and the water is crystal clear but be shure to use start up bacteria and do reg water changes and don't over feed.

By the way I talked to the seachem rep at the ACA and I'm now trying it in 3 new tanks....I'll let you know how it does....it's 1 4th the cost of bio spiro.

404s are allright . But they can be hard to prime. Pros includes good price and widely available parts.

I was able to pick up a new 404 from a lfs that was going out of business for $100. I use it on my 100 and it's been flawless to this point. I wouldn't necessarily call it a great filter, but it does the job. I would certainly prefer to have a wet/dry.

got one on my 90
it keeps that tank spotless

wes. how crystal is that tank??
