im wanting to try to make a diatom filter for my 37 gallon convict breeding tank. how would i start to go about this?

You can buy a Marineland Magnum filter. There's a special micron filter that you can purchase for it. You can use the micron filter by itself or with diatimateous earth. There is also the vortex brand of diatom filter. Diatom filters are really meant for polishing the water, getting cloudiness out, not for constant filtering. They clog quickly.
