i am going to order a 400-440 gallon tank from my lfs and i was wondering what type of filteration i would need and i was wondering how many bags of caribe sea aqaurium sand i would need for the sand layer to at least be 2" deep i will be houseing 3 pbass orino,ocel or mono two arowana one silver one black and one red tailed catfish and possibly a tigriness,juruense or tiger shovelnosed catfish in it?

1) I would go with two Fluval FX5 filters

how about two large ehiem profesinal 2 or 3 filters and i will also have a large ionizer and a steralizer
like evary one else said, use a sump. in a 400g+ you should run min. 55gal sump + 1 or 2 canisters.
