filteration for a 300+ tank

Hi

I'm thinking about setting up a 108x30x30" tank for my ATF. Wanna try wet n dry external sump as filteration.
My current thinking is to have two corner wiers with two 40mm holes in each as drainage (twin standpipe configuration). And a 40mm return split over 2 or 3 outlets to create a riverine tank.

I'm gonna use a pond pump. What turnover rate do i need? 3?

3 really isn't enough. I say around 8X. That is a big and messy fish that eats messy food. More filtration means a happier and healthier fish.

i agree 3 borderline. i like to do at least 5. my 300 is closer to 7.
