hey guys, I am setting up a malwi mbuna tank and the tank is pretty close to being cycled. I was planning on keeping 15-18 mbunas in my 55 gallon tank. I already have a 350gph tetra power filter and a 150gph tetra power filter. I am planning on buying a xp2 for the tank wich has 300gph. would this be enough filteration for these fish?

just about right...my 55 has a 1 canister filter for 100gal tank and a HOB filter also so for a 100gals. you might want to get a power head to blow all the poo from under the rocks..

I do have a powerhead and a small internal filter with about 75 gph. I do plan to get another xp2 and an aquacler later on but for now im just sticking to what I have. Im waiting tell they get a little older. right now they are small so not as much bioload.

I've used dual XP3's on my 125 with no problems. Overkill is good, but dual XP3's on a 55 might be a little much.

yeah, I plan to get two xp2's in the future. That should be plenty of filteration!
