filteration help please

hello,i have a 265 gallon tank.it has an fx5 and an eheim 2229 on it plus a 25w uv.i do 40% water change per week with r o water but its never as clean as id like.do i have enough filteration on the tank?i have a silver arrow,male jag,3 pangassius and 2 blood parrots could really do with some advice.thank you

If you want clean (as in clarity), try a quality carbon matrix

First of all, the only stupid question,..... is the one you dont ask.

Activated Carbon the short answer
The longer answer simplified is the pore & crack sizing within each partical. Its basicly just relating to its trapping ability.

Its use can be as simple as placed in a stocking, or deployed in specific tube units.
