Filtering a 1000 gallon tank

Hi there!

Looking for some advice on how to go about filtering a 1000 gallon aquarium. The biggest I have is 8x2 footer.
Would a sump be the way to go, but also Im thinking water movement needs to be looked at. I am still in the planning stage at present making sure I have enough cashflow and information to cut teething problems down to a minimum. Im fairly nervous about the amount of water Im dealing with so construction is going to be where I put in alot of work I dont want a 1000 gallons loose in my house.
Basically Im housing a Black ghost knife fish who is still a bub right now and building a small community around him, lots of plants very natural looking. I just want him to make it to his full potential. The biggest fish I have had was a moray eel but salt too much work, the biggest fresh at moment is a red devil. I really am a total beginner in the size department.

Thanks for that! I have so much work ahead of me, thankgoodness my BGK grows slowly. I have lots to learn!
