Lots of ways, I would just put in a good 1-2" bulkhead, and have it drain into a wet/dry and than back into the tank, Or you can put a pump in the bin, and have it pump up and over into a 5gallon bucket with sponges and media.

Look on here for the diy wet drys a lot less expensive and you can make one large enough to properly filter your pond .I am in the process of making one for a 550g pond and will have a construction journal in the diy section when it is finished.
