Hi all,
We are currently engineering a 16000 litres indoor aquarium with 3 glass faces (one being pretty much floor to ceiling.
Aquarium is for a retail environment and space, sparkling water and smell are high priorities.
Initially, we wanted to fill it with koi's but are now swaying towards freshwater stingrays, pacus, giant gouramis, arowanas etc.
When we were looking at it as a koi tank we were planning on using a nexus and cetus but I don't think this will be the best solution as they both take up a lot of space and are not sealed units which I think will be important in this environment.
We intend to use a 4in bottom drain and some mid level drains also. We currently have a 10k and 12k Sequence pump and are happy to keep the tank floor void of sand and stone in order to keep it clean.
We really don't know where to start and would appreciate some advice. Ideally we need filter units that we can hide in a cabinet, approximately 800-900mm wide and high and a length of a few metres if necessary.
Any suggestions as to how we should filter this aquarium would be appreciated? An out of the box solution would be ideal but given the space restrictions, a diy solution might be required.
Once we overcome this obstacle the next issue will be controlling humidity and ensuring that there is no fish smell in the shop .
Please please provide some suggestions
Thanks
