I would like to build a filtering system that I could hook up inline with a garden hose and be able to add water directly to my tank. I currently have a powerhead hooked up to a garden hose, I pump water out of the tank, then fill a trash can, declorinate, then pump back in. Not too bad but still alot of work(I change 200 gallons at a time). I would like to make it even easier so that I could do it at night after work etc. Currently I only change water every 3-4 weeks due to my busy schedule (takes a couple hours) but would like to do it weekly. Is there something I could build to do this, lets say from home depot? Money is not really an issue, but cheaper is always better.

Yes, get the whole house cartridge filter system and use multiple cartridges. They have several different cartridges including one for dechlor.

I suggest a sediment then two dechlor carts inline.

They don't come up online @ HD or Lowes?? But like this http://www.home-water-purifiers-and-filters.com/whole-house-water-filters.php

Several people on here use similar setups.
