OK I was setting up my 55 gallon saltwater aquarium but forgot the sand for the tank, so i decided to get it the next day and just add the water and set up my aqua clear 110. every thing was perfect.next day bought the sand for my aquarium (without thinking, so excited to pour it in) openthe sand and pour it in the tank..I thought i pour the sand in slowly but the sand i guess wasnt heavy enough to sink fast??it covered the aquarium and then my aquaclear suck the sand in in started making noises like a garbage disposser, i look inside the housing and the sand ruin my 100 dollar + filter.....LESSON LEARN Have every thing ready before you turn on your electrical equipment.lol

There's actually another way to do it if your tank is already filled. Lay the bag at the bottom of the tank, cut it open and slowly turn it over. That way it is not stirred up
