Filters failed help me please!!!

right im down to one internal filter in my 100gallon tank its only a 50ltr filter but i have air as well. Its not over stocked but its not lightly stocked either. My question is, will they be OK till Monday on the 1 filter and should i reduce there food till i get my new Fluval fx5???? Shall I do a daily water change too please advise me thanks.

not knowing what fish you have in the tank it would be hard to answer.... I have had this happen to me before and I decreased the food by a lot and would change 10% of the water daily and we came through it fine..... good luck

another thought is that Petsmart has a 30 day return policy??

It will take longer the til just Monday. Once you have the FX5 running, ut will take a few weeks to build up the bio filtration. Lots of water tests, water changes and reduced feeding will be most helpful. Only other thing you could do would be to add some bottled bacteria.

Brian could he take some of the media from the old pump to start prime the bacteria?

just a thought I had a friend of mine do this and it worked great for her 72 gal.

Got an fx5 and its up and running used some media from o filter in the new and will do regular water changes and tests. I'll need to cut holes I'm the back of the stand as those pipes reaching round the front look awful. Nick your arowana are stunning, id love to get a few more once I upgrade to a 500gal
