Ideas? I may have broke my TopFin75. I have a biochemical sponge filter in their, and I want something relatively inexpensive, and durable. Suggestions?
Filters for 55 g

So...I recently switched to pebbles, then switched back to sand, and I rinsed it for over 30 minutes, and look. The red line and above is silt 
I have used Fluval, cobalt, oase, Eheim and sicce canister filters. All were used for Atleast 6 months to years.
Sicce Eko- love the priming mechanism but it leaked. Would love to try the whale.
Eheim- meh
Fluval- great. Cheaply built but the 07 series is pretty solid. I had one malfunction but I still use them. Just take care when moving flow lever.
Oase- the cats ass. Not perfect but that predicted is amazing.
Cobalt- the sleeper of the bunch. Pump is in the water so when you clean the filter, all you do is twist a lever and the hoses pop off and all you do is move the cannister. The pump stays running.

Hello; I put an Aquatech 30-60 on a 55 a couple years ago. Picked it up at a local Wal-Mart for around $30. Has run quiet and no problems. It replaced another of the same brand that ran for well over a decade and was still running but with a noisy impeller. I do not have a good local fish shop so did not try to find an impeller. I will keep the old one as a just in case backup.
