Hi everyone!

I just wanted to ask for your opinion if you think the filtration I have planned for my 3 tanks are sufficient enough. I don't mind switching things around if you think that would work better.

1st tank: 125 gallon
Stock - 1 Oscar, 5 SDs (3 currently until the 2 grows more), 1 BGK, 1 Featherfin catfish
Filters - 2x Aquatop 530GPH canister, 2x Emperor 400

2nd tank: 55 gallon
Stock -12 African Cichlids...not exactly sure what species they are. I just know they are Malawi types.
Filters - 1 Eheim 2215, 2x Penguin 350

3rd tank: 55 gallon
Stock - 1 African Brown Knife fish, 1 Striped Raphael Catfish, 1 Pink Convict, 1 Black Convict, 1 Albino Cichlid (?)
Also on top of that, I'm planning to grow out 2 SDs and a BGK on this tank before I move it to my 125g. Hopefully it won't take more than 3-5 months? I just need to get them to a decent size so my 9" Oscar won't mistake them for snack.
Filters - 1 Cascade 1200, 2x Penguin 350

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks in advance! :)

They sound average, depends on powerheads, filter placement, filter media etc.

Picture?

Sun sun is basic quality, prlly better then most hob.

It looks to me like it should be enough. If you keep everything running close to full strength, you are cycling the big one 10 or more times an hour. That should be sufficient.

Thanks guys! I'll post pictures when I get home.

As for bio-media used, I have 6L of Seachem Matrix going on all the canisters, 4500 grams of Ceramic Rings going on both HOBs and canisters, Eheim Substrat and around 20 pot scrubbies.

I'll set it up as follows:

AquaTop and Cascade canister will have...
1st Tray - pot scrubbies
2nd Tray - Ceramic Rings
3rd Tray - Ceramic Rings
4th Tray - Seachem Matrix

Eheim 2215 will hava a mixture of...
Ceramic Rings, Substrat, Matrix

All HOBs will be packed with as much ceramic ring as it can handle. Plus their blue bonded filter pad.

I'm afraid I don't have any powerheads. Just the canisters and HOBs.
