i just bought a 120g (4x2x2) tank and thought i'd see if anyone had any good suggestions for a filtration system for a tank this size. thanks

I have a 125 with a fluval 405 and 2 ac110s with no problems

125 with two eheim 2028 and two ac110... NOW i dont have any problems lol

I've got a penguin 330, a magnum HOT and an aquaclear 110 and all is well in my 125g. I am about to add a sump on, though. Just for kicks. :D

I had a 4x2x2 120 gal for several years...

At one point I ran 2x AC 110s alone. I found this did not create enough wter movement to effectively move the waste into the filter intakes. I added a Mag 350 canister with the return outlet placed at the bottom fo the tank and a powehead placed the same and I was very satisified...

Probably not quite, with a full stock list. If you're only keeping one or two medium sized cichlids in there, it might do alright for you. I had my Oscar up till 10" with just two HOB's. Now I've added on, but things were fine.

awesome advice thanks, i think i am going to start with 2 penguin 350 HOB models and see how that goes. 700 gph sounds good. anyone have experience with marienland filtration? good buy? bad brand?
