Hi everyone, im new here and this is my first post. I have had this tank up and running for just about 2 years now and all is well but have some questions. I am running a marieneland c530, a fluval fx6, a marieneland magnum 350 and a ugf at each end with a total of 3 power heads 2 1200s and 1 900. The tank is seen from both sides. 1st question is this enough filter? I have 2 black bullhead 2striped raphael 1 spotted raphael 1 giant raphael 2synodontis petracola 4 banjo cats 1 dino bicher 2 jewls 1 yellow lab 3 giant dinos and 1 I dont know the name of but mite show up in one of the pictures. 2nd question is I was thinking of converting the canister outputs to spray bars going from left to right with all the intakes on the right. Rite now the flow is in a circular motion. Ups, downs pros and cons are all appreciated, I have only had aquariums for about 4 years and started with a 29 gallon and jumped right to the 210 so I confess I don't know much. 20151222_202933.jpg 20151222_202933.jpg 20151222_202909.jpg 20151222_202836.jpg

Welcome.
Beautiful tank.
...yeah, I would say you have quite enough filtration.
All the intakes at one end will probably be ok but all the spray bars in the back/front will create even more circular motion. How about a spray bar at each end and one on the "front" and one one the "back"....you might have to get creative with plumbing to keep the runs out of sight like up in the canopy. ..

Are you suggesting 4 spray bars? I was thinking 1 at the end 1 under the 1st top divider and 1 under the second top divider with 2 power heads going in the direction of the spray bars and 1 going on the opposite direction and much lower than the other 2.

I would suggest you try a bunch of different ways. The goal is to get the water to the down tubes and into the filters...and a directional flow isn't necessarily a bad thing. When setting up spraybars it is also important to break the surface tension for proper gas transfer....so keep that in mind as well.
I would use the powerheads low in the tank for deeper circulation and maybe to counter an undesired directional flow.
