Ok so I have a 180 gal tank with a metal stand and i need suggestions on what to use as filtration and also what size heater to use

I would do either one FX5 supplemented with a strong powerhead and air stones or A small pond filter that has a backwash option (lets you clean the filter while draining the tank for a water change with the turn of a handle).

On my 180g I have two AquaClear 110s, two Eheim 2217 canister filters, and two 250-watt ebo jager heaters. Everything in pairs...

do u know a particular pond filiter i can use

We used AquaUV for the systems at the shop I was running. Ocean Clear also has one that has a backwash, but I don't have any experience with it. The AquaUV ones were great though.

how would you compare them to an fx5? because i see they are cheaper but do they work as good or better i wonder
