Hey would you guys help me out with this one. I currently own a Eheim 2215 and i have an empty 110 gallon tank im going to be seting up soon. Im going to be using the 2215 to filter it and im also looking into buying more filters. My choices are, getting an other 2215 or getting 2 ac110. What do you guys think would be the better choice?

I prefer to use the same filters as much as possible. You become more familiar with them, have one type of media, etc. I do have multiple filters on every tank to over filtrate and to make it better on the bio when I have to change media (doing one filter at a time). Though I am a huge fan of AC110s, I would go with another Eheim.

Actually my choices are go with an other eheim 2215 and an ac110 or go with 2 AC110's?
Reason i ask is cause the eheim has a gph of about 164 meanwhile the Ac110 has a gph of 500. It probably depends on the bio-load but im not even sure what im going to be stocking. So yeah and advice would be appreciated.

well im not a big fan of hang ons so i would say the canisters but also it depends on what your gonna put in the tank

Gotcha! Sorry, I missed that...

On my 150, I have two AC110s and a Rena XP4. I have the Rena set up mostly for polishing and let the ACs do most of the bio load. It seems to work very well...I am overstocked, but with regular water changes, my water is never a concern and never cloudy.

It will be pricey, but I change my original suggestion. With the options you listed, two AC110s would be the superior choice.

Good luck!
