I got this idear when i was looking at koi ponds how thay have a drain in the center of the pond and the water jets give a wirlpool water flow so all the wast goes to the center and gets sucked out. I also found this filter design http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtgajS8ayFg&feature=related.

So my idear is to have a drane in the center of the tank with some stone aquarscaping around it and the water jest mounted vertical in one corner to get the wirlpool water flow then sand for the rest so the waste will move over it easy to the center where the drain is to keep the tank looking cleaner betwean water changes.

As for the filter in the link i can make a diy one of these prity easy i thought it was a cool idear to have one big filter as this can b mounted under the floor ther is over 1m clearince and easy to get to and the system will b wisper quit in the house so it will b very peaceful to look at.

I prity much will have a sealed system that i make weather it is more like a fx5 desige but bigger but just wundering what people though of the one in the link.

Cheers what do u think

Looks Good, Jam packing a huge cannister with k1 media equip with backflush mechanism for easy maintence. Only question is the pressure change when back flushing what if there is an airlock in the system.
