Filtration for 1000, 1500, or 2000 gal

I've been thinking about this too. Personally I would go with a large canister filter if it was a thousand plus size tank inside the house. Keep humidity levels down and space concerns. These filters are pricy though but shouldn't be a concern for someone that just bought a 1000+ tank!

i would have ab above tank sump and heres what id do.. if i had a 2000 gallon tank i would buy
1. 3 500gph pump
2. 4000 gph pump
3. the biggest storage bin u can find!

i would get these things and then skatter the pumps where you want them, then have them pump into the bin abovfe the tank. fill the bin with media of all kinds or watever you want... then drill TONS of holes in the bottom of the bin.

that is what i would do! i dont know how well it would work but watever.
with that filter you would have a 3x turnover rate and that is not alot, so i would get 4 of these and skatter them on the walls of the tank! http://www.aquariumguys.com/hydor-koralia-4-pump.html

there you go with all the pumps, filtration, and power heads youll have 10800gph. which is 5.4 turn over rate!

EDIT: or just go and buy a 6000 gallon pond filter
