I am setting up a 125 and was going to use 4 AC110 filters on it. But 4 wont fit on tank as years ago I glued a piece of glass on the back trim. Don’t remember why. Must have been for air pump to sit on. Question is Will 2 AC110s and 2 AC 70s be enough for filtering the tank with 3 Oscars in it? I know they’ll fit on back.

Yes but gravel vac and large bi-weekly or weekly wc's will be needed to keep Oscars healthy. I also suggest taking the sponges out and squeeze the waste from them in removed aquarium water during wc's.

I am running 3 different 125s with Aquaclear hobs... I have two 110s and one 70 on each with extension tubes. I have two powerheads sweeping the bottom of them only because of plecos. It’s plenty. They are each set up for one large cichlid plus one pleco in each now.... but this same setup carried one of the tanks that had an Oscar, JD, chocolate cichlid, and pleco in it without any problems for about a year. Tested weekly. All 4-7” fish at the time.

Alway like to over filter. I have 2AC110s and an FX5 canister on my 90 gallon. Thanks I should be good with the filtration I said before then. I’m hoping 2 of the Oscars pair up In the future. They’re about 7 to 8 inches. One is a Red Albino, other 2 are Veil Tail Tigers.
