I've decided to set-up a 150-gallon Rubbermaid horse trough in my fish room and fill it with some larger saltwater fish (groupers, triggers, etc.). I've never taken on anything quite this large and was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions for the best and easiest kind of filtration to use. My concern is that the tank is only about 2' tall and sits directly on the ground, so it's hard to do anything like a sump.

Thanks!!

You could place a tank or container beside the pond and create a sump. Connect the 2 with pvc pipe. The 2' of water will remain the same height in both since water will seek its own level. Hope this helps.
