Sup fellow monster fishkeepers!!

I am building a pond with viewing window soon. It is going to be roughly like this
IMG_0234.JPG

Tank dimension :
650cm Length x 350cm W x 150cm H
It is a 9,000 gallon tank

What i dont get is, how the hell i suppose to get 7-10x turnover rate?? The biggest pump i could find is a 3000 GPH pump. That means i need 21-30 pumps to achieve the desired turnover rate.

Please advice on the filtration. Thx

Im guessing its because unlike smaller setups say 300 and below, you are not as likely to over-stock it with as many large fish as you possibly can...

Also, why not consider a drip system??? Seems a lot of larger setups have them to keep water fresh...

Yes i am going to install autodrip.. :)

Ok so 3-5x turnover will be nuff then?

I cant say for sure since i've never owned such a large tank, but my guess would be yes...

Most koi ponds are 1x turnover per hour. I'm assuming you'll be keeping rays so around 4x will be needed. A high watt uv sterilizer will be a smart investment also. Dealing with a 9000 gallon algae or bacterial bloom would not be fun. Look into purchasing your equipment through koi pond suppliers. You basically will want to treat this as a koi pond. All the rules change when you get into 1000's of gallons. Stock the pond sparingly. Hope to see some updates as you get going on this.

If i were you I would go with a k1 moving bed or also bashsea media if you cant get an enormous sump then a trickle tower also a uv sterilizer as well as some thick filter floss . On an 9,000 gallon tank you will need to a lot of flow
I would go with at least 10 eco tech mp60 wave makers to really have some good flow as well as a good canister fiter to have a clean aquarium. Good luck with your build
