Filtration for a 125 gal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I plan on going with a Wet/Dry shortly. However I do currently have a 125 and never had any issues with filtration.

Currently running on it is a Rena XP3 (I changed out the hose. Went to my local hardware store and picked up some of that clear hose that looks like its been stiched.. dont remember the name of it) And Two Emperor 400's

I have the two 400's on either side of the tank, far left far right, and the Rena's intake somewhere near the middle, with the outtake close to one of the 400's.

its more then enough on that size tank...
I believe it works out to Total of 355gal filtration, 1150gph flow rate.

I suppose it all depends on what you plan to house it it as well.

I run a cascade 1200, a Fluval 404 and a rena xp4. Works nice.

I've got a Magnum HOT and an AC500 for bio with a penguin 300 for mech. And a powerhead pointed at the ground.

I have just a pair of AC110s on my 125g. Again it depends on stock, feeding and maintenance schedule.
