how much and what type of filtration should i use on my 125,im gonna get a group of 5 or 6 caribe? thanks

Two xp3 on each side, with the spray bars rocks my 150g.

renna filstar xp3 is rated for 175g. P's are messy eaters.

shop around petsmart online has them for $105.
Big als had them for $99.

That sound great but if you are going to start out with small P's I would start with two and upgrade later. Unless you have an extra 200 bucks laying around. good luck!

go to petsolutions.com buy 2 emperor 400's, measure the depth of your tank, then take the intank tube to your hardwarre store and buy a pvc tube that will reach down to about 4" from the gravel. the filters are $44.99 each. space both filters so their even for l to r

i would suggest 2 ac500.....but emperors are just as good i prefer the aqua clear product but to each his own.....bigsalonline.com is where i order mine from they have fast shipping and then down the road i would add a nice cannister on to there like the rena filstar xp3 down the road especially since christmas is coming up.....lol

I have a 125 with 3 filters, a powerhead, 2 heaters, and 2 bubble walls...I have 3 different kinds of filters on the tank...I use HYDOR PRIME 30, EHEIM PRO II, and a RENA FILSTAR XP3....I have a 15" Oscar, a 14" Indo Tiger, and 2 plecos...also 4 bichirs...The filters keep my tank crystal clean! I would just go for it and get 3 filters off the bat...The more filtration, the better!

Jen ;)
