ive had smaller tanks for the past 6 yrs nothing over 40gal so im new to very large filtration needs what kind of filter or filters should i look at

Id go for a good size sump and a fx5 or maybe a couple ac110s with a sump

I would go with the Eheim 2262 or 2260 before even thinking about the FX5. I have both and I am speaking from experience. As you can see in my signature what I am running on my tanks.

if you have never used a sump before then stick with canisters. fx5's or the big eheims. sumps arent for everyone. i prefer canisters myself

2 fx5 + emperor 400 imo

I can tell ya one thing, you will not need to run seven different filters to effectively filter a 200g tank, that's just insane:duh: Alot will depend on what and how many fish you plan to stock the tank with. Along with how the tank is set up, type substrate and amount of decor.

Can you tell us a little more about what your planning?

im planning on stockin an oscar, clown knife, gold datnoid, rtc, clown loaches, tinfoil barbs, and possible arrowana
