My mother is runnig a 55gal with a whisper 60. I am trying to encourage her to upgrade/add on to this set up. Right now she has a pair of convicts, a 10 inch chocolate pleco, and 3 tiger barbs. She wants to add probably a few more fish to this. What should I get her to purchase as an terms of filtration?

Thanks

i agree with the above .its fine as is because the bio load isnt on the heavy side.
for my 55g tank i have 2 ac 110 on it.

I'm using 2 Aquaclear 110's on my 72gal right now. It's just that after looking at that whisper it's hard to think it can be very effective???

AC110=:bling: probably the best hang on fo da $$, when its time... add one with as mush bio as possible, then use the POS whisper 60 to polish up the water. the you will be in good shape.

ive used a whisper 40 on a 30 gallon tank before.medium sized fish and the water would be in great shape.the same filter now is being used on a 20g for a turtle.in order of the most pleasing filters that ive used are..
1-ac
2-whisper
3-cascade
4-penguin
5-dynaflo

4 and 5 can be switch.but ac filters...i just highly recommend them.
