Hi all,

I'm getting ready to have this 8x4x2 (or perhaps 30" tall) stingray tank built and I'm a little skeptic on the filtration to get. I want it as easily maintained and silent as possible (will be in living room), therefore I want your input. I'm also getting conflicting info on how many times the water should turnover.

Should I go for a wet dry, if so, what quiet pump(s) do you recommend?

I will have a continuous drip system through an HMA filter generating perhaps 50 gallons a day or so, what do you think?

Thanks

DO NOT go for quiet ones. they are NOT quiet. i just setup a 7x3x2 tank and got 2 quiet one 9000s. waste of money. tank is also kept in my living room so i needed it to be quiet. super noisy. i could not take it and instead, ordered 2 water blasters 7000s. im still waiting to receive them this week and should know how they are. i read a ton of reviews and people are saying that they are very very quiet.

go with a custom made sump. i designed this one and its super quiet. i followed aqueons model 4 sump's first compartment and the rest i designed.

below is a pic of my tank and sump. its a 5x2 wide and 22 inch high sump. hope this helps!

ill snap some nicer pics for you when i get home from work.
