I was just curios what you guys use. I will be getting a new tank 480 gal and looking into filtration. I have two 300 gal and both running 20 gal bio balls one running with a fx5 other running pressurflow 1400. I have a drip system on both about 30 gal a day. I do water changes once every week to two weeks to avoid ammonia spikes. The new tank i would like better bio filtration and will use a drip system. Looking into a boi reactor or bead filter. I would like to put filtration inside the stand if possible . what are you using and are you happy with what you are using.

Thanks
John

large submerged media sumps.... but my new design was gonna have 2 150 gallon rubber maids but now im lookin at the ultima filters... same as neoprodigy is doing on his 600 gallon...lookin to be a ideal set up...

thanks Nic thanks Mike
i will have to look up Neo's thread again.
what are others doing?

I am building an indoor pond and I'm going to use some submerged media and quite a bit of Pothos vine (Devil's vine, Epipremnum aureum). It can literally grow in your closet and it is an opportunistic grower. Its growth is determined by the nutrients (i.e. nitrogenous waste) that are available to it. It can be grown easily in a proper sump. Hopefully it will lay waste to, well, waste lol. Just a tip, hope it helps.

i use aquaultraviolet 1000 and 2000 model bead filters..i really like the 1000 model..fits under my stand and does a great job with bio..takes about 2-3 weeks to be fully functional though..when properly seeded with bacteria, you'll love what it does..i recently bought 2 just to have on ebay bcause they were CHEAP..keep your eyes open on ebay for a bargain..you will be happy with the filters performance.:grinno:
